Andhra Pradesh: All the common entrance tests in the State will be conducted online from the academic year 2017-18, announced HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao.
All CETs to go online in AP From 2017-18
At a conference held at Andhra University Senate Hall on Thursday, he told media persons that three high-level meetings were held in July, September and October for conducting the common entrance tests (CET), and it was resolved finally to conduct all the CETs online.
Further, he said, next year the AP EAMCET may be linked with the national entrance test and an exclusive committee would be constituted to go into the issue. “Despite the best efforts of the State government, last year online mode of common entrance test could not be implemented due to little time at our disposal. However, this year, we have changed the mode,” said Mr. Rao.
All Common entrance tests made online from 2017-18
This means from the academic year 2017-18 all CETs, Eamcet, Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET), Education Common Entrance Test (EDCET), Engineering Common Entrance Test (ECET), Post-graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (PGECET), Law Common Entrance Test (LAWCET) and Post Graduate Law Common Entrance Test (PGLCET), Physical Education Common Entrance Test (PECET) will be held online.
The following universities will conduct the respective common entrance tests for the year 2017: APEAMCET, JNTU-Anantapur-APECET, Sri Venkateswara University-Tirupati-APICET, Andhra University-APPGECET and APEDCET, S.K. University-Anantapur-APLAWCET and Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur-APPECET. The schedule for the common entrance tests will be announced later.
